Sabino/Pima FAFSA Completion: Best Practices & Strategies Speakers: Sabryna Alers, Antonio Garcia, Alejandro Menchaca & Teresa Toro Pueblo High School was able to achieve a 14% increase in their FAFSA completion rate, come learn best practices and strategies from the school team that made it happen. Canyon B/C Speakers: Representatives from ScholarshipsA-Z & the Immigrant Student Resource Center Representatives from ScholarshipsA-Z and the University of Arizona's Immigrant Student Resource Center will ask counselors to step back and think about immigrant families as schools rush to goals of 100% FAFSA completion. This workshop presents the distinct sitution for DACA recipients, undocumented students and US citizens with undocumented parents. Alternatives to getting to a student's level of financial need will also be discussed. Ventana Speakers: Heather Rosinbum & Stefanie Basij Come learn how to go "beyond the FAFSA" when working with students and families in this critical process. This session will encourage educators to integrate lessons of financial literacy to ensure lifelong responsibility when it comes to money managment. |
