Arlene Benavidez Arlene Benavidez has 23 years of experience working with students, parents, educators and community leaders to promote academic achievement, post- secondary preparation, youth leadership, and youth workforce development. Her current work as Executive Director for the Metropolitan Education Commission has introduced her to youth leaders throughout Pima County who are interested in civic engagement by promoting the quality of life in the community, through both political and non-political processes. Aiselyn Anaya, Senior at Amphitheater High School, Joshua Ashton, Senior at Empire High School & Michaela Silva from City High School are three stellar examples of student engagement, youth leadership, and commitment to the future of our communities. |
