PARENT OUTREACH - A COLLEGE DEGREE BEGINS IN THE HOME

Early Academic Outreach works with families of 6th-10th graders to provide college readiness curriculum. Our goal with providing these interactive workshops is to increase dialogue between families and students about developing a plan for college so that families are equipped to help set their child up for success before they enter high school. There are several platforms we are able to offer these workshops in order to make it most convenient for families. We are able to come to your campus or can meet virtually. Some of the topics that are covered:
Benefits of Attending College | Types of Higher Education | Creating a Student Resume/ College Portfolio | Admission Requirements | Paying for College | Creating a College Going Culture at Home
Workshops also focus on the parent-child relationship and fostering communication around goal-setting.
COLLEGE/CAREER/COMMUNITY FAIRS
Early Academic Outreach seeks to represent the University of Arizona at fairs where K-10 students and families may be seeking college planning information as a communal resource.
